Commication :
Communication
is the key to a successful relationship. We take pride in our ability to be in
touch with you every step of the way. We understand that the thought of allowing
people into your home can be daunting and we work to make you comfortable right
away.
Our process is simple but detailed. We would like
to take some time to review our process with you, so you will know what to
expect when working with us.
Step 1
Let's Get Acquainted
At
our free on-site consultation, we will discuss your project with you to gain an
understanding of your goals and motivations. This ensures that we can make
informed recommendations on how to meet your needs. We will also discuss your budget
and provide an estimate for your project.
Next,
we will prepare a Pre-Construction Design Agreement, which will outline an
estimate of your project. At this time, the agreement is signed and design fee
is paid, which is later credited to your construction contract. Now we are
ready to start. Let the excitement begin!
Step 2
Creating Your Space
Your
designer or salesperson will visit your home and confirm all the details of
your project. At this visit, measurements will be taken and a project schedule
will be determined. Then, your designer goes to work, creating the space that
you envision. Once the plans are ready, we will set up a meeting to review them
in detail with you. There may be only one design review meeting or several
depending on the complexity of your project.
Step
3
Ironing out the Details
Before any of the work starts we want to make sure we have thought of
everything. To do this we schedule a Production Review. The lead contractor
will take this time to review plans and confer with one another on any
outstanding questions. On the same day, one-on-one meetings with the all of the
trade contractors scheduled to work on your home will take place. This ensures
that everyone working on your project understands the schedule and plan.
Some of the most important details will be decided in your Selections Meeting.
Flooring, lighting, cabinets, and much more must be decided in order to prepare
an accurate budget. And we will help guide you through the process.
Once all of the selections and designs are finalized there will be a Contract
Budget and Plan Review where the complete budget for your project will be
presented to you.
Step 4
Time to
Get Started
Approximately two weeks before construction starts on your project we will hold
a Pre-Construction Meeting. During this meeting we will review the schedule
with you. Once we have started working on your project, we will conduct a
walk-thru with you each week where we will ask you for feedback on how things
are going. We consider this a critical part of the process as it is our goal to
make sure that we are meeting your expectations every step of the way.
Step 5
Enjoying
Your New Space
Once final details and all work has been completed; we ask that you prepare a
final completion list. We too, will prepare our own list of items that may need
attention before your project is considered officially completed. The two lists
will be compared and combined, and we will work to complete any outstanding
items as quickly as possible.
The only thing left to do is relax and enjoy your new space!
